PEOPLE:
I had a host mom (40+), dad (40+), and younger sister (14). My host parents were civil servants and my younger sister was a rising ninth grader. My host mom spoke English very well (since she’d lived in America for a year) and so did my host sister, since she was studying English in school. My host dad spoke very limited English. I practiced Mandarin with my host mom every day. Often, my host dad and sister were too busy. When we all had a day off, we would go out to eat, play ping pong, go shopping, or watch a movie. My host family was very accommodating, kind, and (I daresay) tolerant. I wish I’d given more to them.
LOCATION:
Xiangzhou District. Tbh in the best apartment complex in all of Zhuhai (or maybe I’m just biased).
