CAMPUS:
A bit far from everyone’s apartments, so you’d likely have to leave home an hour early like I did. So the campus. Sprawling. Huge. A pain if you even have to leave the classroom building…BUT there is a campus mega-golf-cart thing that you can use if you’re with your language partner. However, most events will be in the classroom building (below), so you needn’t worry. You only have to go elsewhere for the opening and closing ceremonies, kung fu culture class, dance practice, and meetings for excursions. There is a main supermarket by Cafeteria 1 and a small market near the classroom building. There is also a pool that you can somehow get access to. Side note: the various balconies plus the roof of the classroom building are really nice places to relax or hang out.

CLASSES:
We were divided up into three classes: Beginner, Advanced, and ?Intermediate? (more like super-Advanced). The Beginner class had nine, the Advanced class had eight, and the Intermediate class had three. We took a placement test on one of our first days in Zhuhai (it’s not the OPI, guys) to determine level. It’s possible to switch classes if you wish. There’s also a vending machine and like two restrooms outside of the classrooms.

FOOD:
BNUZ has ~three cafeterias (and they’re numbered), but I only ate at Cafeteria 1 and 2. You have to exchange your Chinese money for lunch chips and then choose food from different stations. While I ate at Cafeteria 1 most every day for the first two weeks, which was convenient, I got a bit sick of eating there. Thankfully, there are a bunch of other places to eat on campus! Some of them you can reach by using the mega-golf-cart, like the dumpling restaurant and the substitute dumpling restaurant (for when the main one was closed). There were nice places to get smoothies and teas, including a Comebuy. If you walked about ten minutes away from the classroom building, you could also eat at this Cheap restaurant as well as a Light-wood Aesthetic restaurant (I don’t actually know their names), but they were great as well. Near Cafeteria 1, there’s a small bakery. Unfortunately, food places started closing up when the college students get out in July. A short bus ride away is a dry-hotpot place.
